Terms of Use for Fret Studio Apps

Overview

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Fret Studio mobile applications, including Freta: Master Guitar Fretboard and Tunea: Chromatic Tuner (collectively, the "Apps"), developed by Adenova Labs ("we", "our", or "us").

By downloading, installing, or using our Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Apps.

Services Provided

Freta: Master Guitar Fretboard

Freta is a guitar fretboard learning application that provides:

  • Interactive fretboard training exercises
  • Real-time pitch detection and feedback
  • Progress tracking and gamification
  • Free tier with daily limits
  • Premium subscription (Freta Pro) with unlimited access

Tunea: Melody Ear Training

Tunea is a melody ear training application that provides:

  • 80+ curated songs across multiple genres
  • Infinite random melody generation
  • Solfège (Do-Re-Mi) and letter notation (A-G)
  • Multiple instruments (piano, guitar, violin, saxophone, flute)
  • Progressive difficulty levels (beginner, intermediate, expert)
  • XP system, achievements, and daily quests
  • Free tier with curated songs
  • Premium subscription (Tunea Pro) with unlimited access to all songs and random melodies

Subscription Terms

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Both Apps offer auto-renewable subscriptions that provide unlimited access to all features:

Subscription Options:

  • Monthly subscription
  • Annual subscription

Pricing:

  • Prices are displayed in the App and in your local currency
  • Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice

Payment:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account at confirmation of purchase
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

Managing Subscriptions:

  • You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's Account Settings after purchase
  • No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Cancellation:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period

Free Trials:

  • Free trial periods, if offered, allow you to try premium features before committing to a subscription
  • You may cancel during the trial period without being charged
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when using our Apps
  • Use the Apps only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Apps
  • Not use the Apps in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services
  • Not share your subscription access with others

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Apps, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the exclusive property of Adenova Labs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Microphone Permission

Freta requires microphone access for real-time pitch detection during guitar fretboard training. By granting microphone permission, you acknowledge that:

  • Audio is processed locally on your device in real-time
  • No audio recordings are stored or transmitted to our servers
  • You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings (note: this will prevent the app from functioning)

Tunea does not require microphone access. All audio is generated synthetically for playback only.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Apps will meet your requirements
  • The Apps will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Apps will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Apps will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADENOVA LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Apps
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Apps
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the Apps
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Apps

Refunds

Refund policies are governed by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies. Please contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests.

We do not have access to process refunds directly. All purchases are handled through your app store account.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms.

Your continued use of the Apps after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

Changes to Services

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Apps or any features
  • Change subscription pricing with advance notice to existing subscribers
  • Add or remove features from the Apps

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Apps immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Apps will immediately cease.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Adenova Labs operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Apple App Store Specific Terms

For users who download the Apps from the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and Adenova Labs, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services
  • Apple is not responsible for any product liability claims
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Apps or your use of them
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Adenova Labs regarding the use of the Apps and supersede any prior agreements.

Summary: By using Fret Studio Apps, you agree to these Terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can manage subscriptions in your device settings. All audio processing is local. Contact us with any questions.
